December 22 has the fewest daylight hours; mid-February is the coldest month; June 23 has the longest day; mid-August is the hottest time of the year. Ocean waters keep heat for long periods, creating this lag (a bit more than 30 days). The candidate shows how the regression analyses led to better models.
