Note for others doing similar regression analyses: real estate taxes depend on the home value (similar to the sales price) as well as other items, such as the tax rate in the town. A more refined analysis might distinguish taxes that affect the sales price (such as differences in the tax rates of two towns) from taxes that reflect the sales prices (such as differences in the taxes paid on homes in the same town). This refinement is not needed for a student project, but it is common in econometric analyses. The other analysis in this project is intriguing: acreage and size may affect home values more than the number of rooms and baths.
