Registration

Question: How do I register for the on-line course?
Answer: Some companies register most of their actuarial students who need to fulfill VEE requirements. This saves you effort in filling out paperwork; check with the director of the actuarial program at your company. You can register by mail, by fax, by email, or by on-line registration; see the instructions on the NEAS website.
Question: How do I pay for the on-line courses?
Answer: You can pay by check of by credit card. We use a reputable vendor for the on-line registration to minimize any problems with credit card registration. You can also send credit card information by fax or phone if you are not comfortable with on-line registration.
Question: What is the deadline to register for the courses?
Answer: The registration deadline is usually by the middle of the course. This allows you to see whether the on-line course or another method of fulfilling the VEE requirements works better. You can participate in the course even without registering, though we will not review your homework assignments until you register. Do the homework assignments as you study each module, and send them in when you register. You can ask questions on the discussion forums at any time.
Question: Do I get a formal transcript after I pass the exam?
Answer: Yes, we send both you and the SOA / CAS a formal transcript.
Question: I need to receive a 1098 form for my tuition payment; can I get that from you?
Answer: Yes, we send a formal receipt of tuition, and other documentation if needed.
Question: Must I do anything else after taking the on-line course to get VEE credit?
Answer: Fill out the required form and submit it to the SOA with the fee. NEAS submits a transcript to the SOA.
Question: Do you keep records? What if the SOA wants proof that I completed the course?
Answer: We keep homework assignments, final exams, and student projects as record of your completion of the course.
