Solve end of chapter problem 29(b) on page 495 (1st ed) / page 507 (2nd ed), showing all work. The numerical answers are in the appendix to the textbook; for the homework assignment, show how the answer is derived. The sample sizes are small and the standard deviations are not known; show how to compute the degrees of freedom and the confidence interval.
