Can someone help me out or provide clues as to what I'm doing wrong?  When I run a regression on the unstable rates, my residual plots do not appear to be a V-shape like they should be.  I am using the same regression equation that the template uses (the UnstableRatesData tab), and I still cannot duplicate the residual plots graph on the template.  Could I be making a mistake with how I use the Excel regression function?  I click on "regression", input my Y range values and X range values, and it performs the regression.  I have tried reformatting the axis of the graph and that doesn't seem to help either.  Any help is extremely appreciated!

Are you selecting both the x1 and x2 columns as the x values?  With the data as given, when you do the regression with both columns as the x values, you should see the \/ or /\ shape in the residuals of one of those variables.

Aha!  That seems to have done the trick!  I was only selecting the X2 column.  Thank you so much Surfohio!!!
